Alaa was born in Tunis, Tunisiaon February 26th in 1935.

His glamorous twin sister, Hafida, inspired his love for couture and aFrench friend fed Alaa's instinctive creativity with copies of Vogue.

He then lied about his ageto get into the TunisInstitute of Fine Arts,where he gained valuable insights into the human form and sculpture.

After his graduation,he privately dressed members of the world's jet set.

The outside of the vintage Alaa tote has a green leather exterior with silver-tone studded rivets, green leather handles and a large open top.

The roomy interior has a brown leather lining with a removable wallet, an attached small mirror and one additional open pocket inside.

On November 18th, 2017, it was announced Alaa died in Paris. He was 82 years old.
